My daughter has been receiving nursing services through Act Home Health for five years, and in that time we have gotten to know the agency well. From the very beginning, they have gone above and beyond by assisting us in many different areas affecting my daughter's well-being. Early on, they were able to recommend an attorney service for us when Medi-Cal approved far too few hours of care for our daughter, and then they helped us navigate a (successful) lawsuit against the state on that issue. They have helped lobby legislators to increase the nursing reimbursement rate so nurses are adequately compensated for their work. And they have cooperated with other agencies, providing records and counsel to various other agencies pursuing that same goal through litigation. Act Home Health provides more than nurses to our family; they provide support, advice and advocacy.
